Analysis Of The Movie Valkyrie - 1243 Words

Valkyrie is a detailed motion picture depicting one of the many attempts by Nazi soldiers to assassinate Adolf Hitler. The movie stars Cruise as Claus von Stauffenberg, he is the leader of the most important resistance groups in Nazi Germany. In the film we see Stauffenberg’s rise from a colonel in the German army in Africa, we also notice his upward hatred for the Nazi regime, the film also provides a report of the weeks leading up to the assassination attempt that took place on 20 July 1944. This movie shows us the planning stages of the attack, we also see the attack itself and later we see the aftermath. The events portrayed in the film are an extremely accurate detailing of the events of the assassination attempt. Director Bryan Singer has done an admirable job in providing a precise and accurate historical description of the events of the July 20. A man named Henning von Tresckow drafted operation Valkyrie. The focal point of the plot was Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, he was a colonel who is a devoted official and who adores his nation however has been forced to watch the rise of Hitlerr which prompted the occasions of World War II.
